Disaster Management

The Disaster Management Department of the Ministry is mandated to establish drought mitigation measures such as early warning and forecasting mechanisms, establishing a vibrant engagement with the local communities on programming and implementation of activities, strengthening the working cooperation with the different tiers of the government (Federal, State and District levels) to enhance coordination and maximization of available resources.
